The Wrench was established in 2001, but it all started a couple of years prior to this for the owner Mr. Louis Horne. Louis received his training in the USA at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute for four years and qualified as a Harley-Davidson technician.

Soon after his training was completed Louis decided to head back to South Africa ready to spread his wings and share his knowledge. Starting off he was employed at Harley Davidson Menlyn for two years as a Workshop Manager and then General Manager.

Over the years Louis has built many custom motorcycles. The Wrench as a business specialises in restorations from the old vintage motorcycles to the latest models. The focus is mainly on Harley Davidson motorcycle brand.
